Summer Tournament Revealed

BROMSGROVE ROVERS AFC will host a club tournament this summer ahead of their official unveiling in the coming months.

The club was formed last year by Bryn Davies and Mark Whitehouse with the former acting as Chairman and the latter as Secretary.

And the club will don the town’s traditional colours of green and white stripes, black shorts and green socks.

Currently, the club has a single under-13’s team but are looking to expand with new teams for different age groups next season and also boast a Football Development Group and Wellness Coach,

Davies said: “The club has yet to be officially unveiled to the people of Bromsgrove, something we have plans to do in the coming months.

“Along with some other very highly respected football people, we have come together to make things happen, and ultimately offer children of all ages, a safe environment with the aim of adults football integration in the future.”

The club has a five-year plan in place to achieve their goals and hope that this summer’s tournament will boost funds, having already attracted interest in terms of sponsorship.

This summer’s tournament has been approved by Birmingham FA and will run on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12 at Hopwood Recreation Ground in Alvechurch for various age groups.

The funds generated from the tournament will be used to further upgrade facilities and equipment for all of the boy’s teams.

Hot and cold food will be available on the day, along with activities for all of the family to enjoy

If you would like more information or to enter a team in the tournament, contact Mark Whitehouse at: m.k.whitehouse@btinternet.com or call: 07860 310 854.

The tournament takes place at Hopwood Recreation Ground, Hopwood, Alvechurch, Birmingham B48 7TL on the weekend of June 11 and 12.
