When you set out to play football at an early age, you long to be recognised as the best. On Sunday 11th June Rovers’ U13’s were invited to play at The Aces Nationals against the very best…
The Aces Nationals Tournament is an invite only to elite teams from all over the Country. To be entered is one of the highest honours any team can achieve. To qualify your given team MUST have won a League or Cup. It gives the team not only chance to represent their Club but the town they come from.
Our Under 13’s, who were already Premier League Champions at CWYL level, recent tournament winners on 2 occasions dusted themsleves down to pit themselves against the best from England. They competed in their 2023/24 age; U14’s.
Standing shoulder-to-shoulder alongside the best at the registration stage the Rovers green and white stripes stood out, boasting the club crest. A very proud moment for Captain Tommie Foulkes.
The entire Club, hosting it’s Summer Tournament were constantly checking in with Management in a manic weekend of football hoping the team could really put themselves and the club and town on the football map…
Teams from Liverpool, Leicester, Coventry, West Bromwich, Birmingham plus others were all competing in the prestigious event…

What an amazing achievement! Rovers U14 came 4th in the Nationals! This acclaim means they are now recognised as the fourth best U14 Grassroots football team in the whole of England!
Chairman, Bryn Davies commented, “We were constantly checking for updates on the progress of the boys whilst running our Tournament at Hopwood. The sheer acclaim this has brought to the entire Club by this team is amazing. The Club are very proud of them but the town and people of Bromsgrove should be too. This is truly remarkable.”
