Bromsgrove Rovers AFC are very proud to announce the launch of a new Development Football Club, which will start in July 2022.

Whilst the club already boasts several boys teams, it is vital to offer the local community the expertise of our experienced football coaches.

After much thought and time, we are proud to be able to reveal that from July 5th 2022 we will be running a Development Football Class, initially aimed at children (boys and girls) aged between 4 and 14 years old.

The class, fronted by our Development Staff of Jim McGettrick and Liam Blackwood aim to teach children football skills, develop them along with introducing them into football. Ultimately, it’s about learning the basics, having fun and all in a safe environment.

The Development Football Class is aimed at children from all of the surrounding areas including Hopwood, Alvechurch, Bromsgrove, Redditch and South Birmingham.

Mark Whitehouse, Club Secretary said, “It’s invaluable to children to gain physical exercise, fresh air even, especially in the light of the recent pandemic, if we as a club can offer them this in an hour and they enjoy it, then that is so rewarding for all involved. You never know, we may discover the next Jude Bellingham or Jack Grealish along the way? Other teams can be formed for the club too, so it’s a fabulous opportunity all round.”

The Development Football Class starts on Tuesday 5th July, 2022 from 5:45pm to 6:45pm. Based at Hopwood Recreation Ground, Redditch Road, Hopwood, Alvechurch, Birmingham B48 7TL

Priced at just £3.00 per child and as a pay if you play, it’s a great way for your children to burn off excess energy just before bedtime too!

Refreshments are on offer, along with toilet facilities and private car parking.
