The Rovers U11 side were in celebration mode and looking to end their campaign on a high entertaining Hillfield U11 at home.
Rovers had unofficially clinched The Spring Cup, but wanted to make it 5 out of 5 wins in their group.
The game kicked off in explosive fashion with 2 goals in the opening 10 minutes. Rovers leading 2-0. Some excellent work throughout and clever running saw the scoreline increased to 4-0 by Half time.
7 minutes into the second half it was 5-0 and the atmosphere was euphoric throughout the players and onlookers. Hillfield managed to find the net but Rovers had the last laugh with a 6th late on.
Overall, a very entertaining game to watch, a proud moment for Rovers U11’s, claiming their first trophy of the campaign, and what a great note to end it on.
The team all played their part, so much so they were all equally given Man of The Match.
The victory saw them play 5 games, with a 100% win record with 15 points.
Goalscorers were Yudi Purewal (2), Blake Richardson (2), Charlie Potter & Freddy Millership.
